For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted to USPS no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.

We offer Route Shipping Insurance for guaranteed package protection and one-click refunds for lost, stolen, or damaged items. The cost is 1.5% of your total cart value. When orders are insured with Route, any items stolen off customers porches are automatically covered (11 million Americans had packages stolen last year alone!).

Returned items must be shipped back to us in its original condition and packaging within 14 days of delivery. What's the difference between gold vermeil and regular gold plating?

Vermeil is an historical French plating method which uses a palladium barrier layer and heavy 18K gold or rose gold plating. Gold vermeil is actually precious silver with a gold layer on top of it. The core metal has to be silver. Otherwise, jewelry brands can’t legally sell the piece as vermeil. By contrast, for gold plated jewelry the core metal can be anything, from brass to copper and stainless steel. Vermeil jewelry must also meet a minimum thickness of 2.5 microns. Gold plated jewelry, on the other hand, doesn’t have this requirement.

If you are looking to build a collection of high-quality jewelry without the pure gold price tag, gold vermeil is a fantastic option.

With proper care, our pieces are meant to be worn season after season. Here are some tips to nurse your jewelry for a lifetime:


Our signature collection is crafted with a heavy layer of 18K gold over sterling silver, called vermeil. This type of plating is significantly thicker than regular gold plating, and, therefore, longer lasting. 


  • Humidity is the enemy. Keep it dry!
  • Limit wear and tear by storing your jewelry individually when possible. Btw — each piece comes with a complimentary storage box!
  • Clean your piece by buffing gently with a soft polishing cloth.


Sterling silver is an alloy metal containing 92.5 percent silver and a 7.5 percent amalgam of other metals. Chosen for its strength and beauty, sterling silver has a lifetime of durability.


  • Humidity is the enemy. Keep it dry! Sterling silver has a tendency to oxidize.
  • Store each piece in your V Coterie gift box or jewelry case when not in use to further slow oxidation.
  • Wear often. The oils in your skin actually slow down the oxidation process!
  • Clean your piece by buffing gently with a soft polishing cloth.


The crystals we use are from Swarovski, highly valued for their beauty, longevity, and brilliance.

  • Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Shine on!

All the crystals we use are from Swarovski who are at the forefront of sustainability. All Swarovski crystals are lead-free and are responsibly produced.

Product Packaging

Our polybags are recyclable and reusable. These made from plant-based/bio-based material instead of fossil-based plastics.

Our cellophane covers are biodegradable and compostable.

Our V Coterie drawer boxes and mini drawer boxes are meant to be kept and reused (not disposed!). 

We're passionate about crafting pieces of the utmost quality. We want you to be 100% satisfied with all of your jewelry purchases. We provide a 2-year warranty from the original order date on each gold vermeil or sterling silver piece. If, for whatever reason, your V Coterie piece is damaged or breaks due to a defect in material or workmanship, we will repair/replace it at no cost, or provide a product of equal value if the original product is no longer available.

What happens after 2 years? We offer a lifetime repair service for a small fee.
